'Only tried to do my best': Rohit Sharma after India levels series 1-1

As the 'Hitman' show sealed the deal for India in the 2nd T20 against Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma heaped praises over the team's performance at the post-match

As 'Hitman' show sealed deal for India in ir second encounter with Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma heaped praises over team's performance at post-match presentation. Bangladesh had mand to score just 153/6 in ir twenty overs. Lauding performance of spinners, Sharma said that Chahal and Sundar helped India bounce back after Bangladesh openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim had got visitors off to a solid start.

"Both spinners are very smart and y understand ir bowling really well. y always have conversations with coach and captain as to how to improve. y played a lot of domestic cricket and Sundar has been our new ball bowler and today I wanted to change it considering how big ground is," Rohit said at post-match conference. 

Sharma, who played his 100th T20 furr said that he has only tried to do this best without underestimating opposition. stand-in skipper also said that he knew pitch will be good to bat on and he wanted to take dew factor out of equation by bowling first.

"I never underestimate opposition, particularly bowlers... all se years I have only tried to do my best when I have bat in my hand. I knew conditions were perfect and re was turn on offer, all I wanted to do was remain stationed and tonk ball"

Missed opportunities

Bangladesh got off to a brilliant start with Liton Das and Naim powering ir side to 59 runs in just 7 overs. However, Bangladesh were lucky eugh as Rishabh Pant's stumping of Liton Das was ruled t Out by TV umpire. Das was granted ar lifeline in 7th over by skipper Rohit Sharma before succumbing to a run out in next over itself. Washington Sundar fetched India second wicket as Mohammad Naim, who looked well in form, was caught out on third delivery of Sundar's last over. 
Bangladesh's star in first T20, Mushfiqur Rahim, unfortunately, could t shine in second match as Yuzvendra Chahal picked his wicket in 13th over of game. same over also saw Rishabh Pant uproot bails as he stumped Soumya Sarkar way out of crease off Chahal's last delivery.
