Dodda Ganesh believes RCB made a poor choice in IPL 2024 auction
Dodda Ganesh, a former Indian fast bowler from Karnataka, expressed his displeasure with Royal Challengers Bangalore's Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2024 outcome, claiming that spectators would be more adept at the auction table. After releasing some of their main players, like as pacer Josh Hazlewood and leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, RCB entered the mini-auction in Dubai on Friday with a purse of Rs 23.25 crore and six spots to bid on.
Dodda Ganesh claimed that the passionate RCB fans would have made more strategic and responsible decisions had they been given a say alongside the cricketing professionals in the auction. He posted on X, saying:
"Give the RCB fans half the money from the purse and a freehand at the auction table; I bet you, our fans will select a much balanced team for all conditions and might as well save some money. Cannot believe that a pro crkt team can do such elementary mistakes #IPL2024"

Ganesh questioned RCB's decision of signing Yash Dayal
After releasing several bowlers, the Royal Challengers Bangalore appeared to be concentrating on improving their bowling unit. Dodda Ganesh, too, was perplexed to learn that they had paid an astounding ₹5 crore for left-arm pacer Yash Dayal.
The bowler's confidence was damaged after a match where Rinku Singh hit him for five sixes off of five balls, causing the Uttar Pradesh pacer to have a terrible IPL 2023 season. In response, Ganesh said:
"Any bowler can have a bad day. Yash Dayal too had one bad over. He is still a good bowler and had decent returns in the #SMAT. However, spending 5crs on him, is simply ridiculous, RCB. My mind boggles 😳 #IPL2024"
