Parthiv Patel Set to Join Gujarat Titans as Batting Mentor Ahead of IPL 2025 - REPORT

Former India wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel is all set to join Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025 as batting mentor. As per a report, Patel is set to join support staff of Titans which is led by Ashish Nehra. Patel is set to replace Gary Kirsten, who was batting mentor and he coach. Kirsten recently left Titans and joined Pakistan national team as ir white-ball coach. Before Titans move, Patel was a part of Mumbai Indians scouting team. Patel brings in a lot of knowledge of cash-rich league and knows circuit well. Hence, this looks like a solid dition. Patel announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in December 2020. Since n, he has often been seen doing commentary stints. Thanks to his knowhow of circuit, he is a good dition to set up. 

He has also been tracking and opining on India's ongoing Test series against New Zealand. Amid speculations that out-of-form KL Rahul should be dropped, Patel reckoned that would not happen as team management still values him. 

“I don’t think KL Rahul will be benched. team management still values him, and that’s why his batting order was not changed. He could have easily batted at No.3 slot inste of Virat Kohli but it didn’t happened.

Titans won IPL title in ir maiden season under leership of Hardik Pandya. As per reports, Shubman Gill will continue to le side, while Rashid Khan is expected to get retained.
