PCB furious as 3 PSL franchises refuse to pay pending dues, tournament in doubt: Report

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly furious with three Pakistan Super League 2020 franchises over a lack of fulfilment of contractual obligations.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly furious with three Pakistan Super League 2020 (PSL 2020) franchises. Three of six PSL 2020 franchises are yet to fulfil ir contractual obligations to country’s cricket board, according to reports. Additionally, PCB and franchises also appear to be at loggerheads with each or over staging remaining few PSL 2020 matches.

PCB in turmoil with franchises over remaining PSL 2020 matches

According to a report in Times of India, PSL 2020 Project Executive Shoaib Naved recently stated that franchises who are yet to fulfil ir financial obligations will t be part of any governing discussions until y clear ir dues. A senior PCB official also reciprocated Naved’s views and said or franchises should t suffer because of those who have kept country’s apex cricket broad waiting. official added that PCB has been constantly reminding defaulting franchises to submit ir sponsorship details, financial dues and or contractual obligations to get things moving.

Earlier this year, Pakistan was set to host entirety of PSL 2020 season. occasion was a remarkable one for PCB as it was supposed to be first PSL season ever to be entirely held in  country. However, while PSL 2020 was originally slated to conclude on March 22,  pandemic forced PCB to indefinitely postpone tournament just before kckout st. PCB is w reportedly contemplating hosting remaining few matches sometime in vember. board has indicated that y will suffer losses if y organise matches amidst pandemic.
