Pakistan Cricket Board claims 'healthy talks' done with PSL teams over financial model

The Pakistan Cricket Board said that the meeting between the two parties was positive and constructive with participants engaging in good discussions.

Pakistan Super League franchises have recently been at loggerhes with Ehsan Mani-led Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over financial model of T20 tournament, which forced m to file a petition in Lahore High Court. franchises have raised doubts over PCB's financial model for Pakistan Super League, which is making board richer as franchises incur losses each season.

However, it looks like PCB is set to control potential dam after it held a meeting with Pakistan Super League franchises on Wednesday to discuss ir reservations with financial model. Following discussion, PCB released a statement in which y elaborated upon details of meeting.

Pakistan Cricket Board meets Pakistan Super League franchises

As per statement released by Pakistan Cricket Board, meeting between two parties was positive and constructive with participants engaging in discussions in good faith with a view to resolving outstanding matters, disputes and grievances. release said that PCB presented team owners a draft proposal which has been put toger at request of franchises, about finding a more equitable model.

release furr said that both sides have agreed to dig deeper into proposed model with ir respective financial and operational teams over coming weeks and aim to resolve outstanding concerns to find a mutually beneficial position as soon as possible.

PCB in trouble over player discrimination claims 

As PCB tries to solve it's issues with PSL franchises, a young Pakistan-based Sikh fast bowler Mahinder Pal Singh In a conversation with Pakpassion.net claimed that he has been subjected to unpleasant comments and discrimination at various sts of his career.

t only youngster, but former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria h shockingly revealed that he h to face discrimination for being a Hindu in Islam-dominated country. Shoaib Akhtar h also ackwledged same and spinner's remarks, being a witness to it. If claims turn out to be true, n Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and PCB need to create stricter laws to protect players' integrity irrespective of ir religion or caste.

Shoaib Akhtar blasts Pakistan Cricket Board for Pakistan Super League issues

Former Pakistan cricket team pacer Shoaib Akhtar recently slammed board for jeopardising Pakistan Super League situation due to financial model situation, which he claimed could make many franchises bankrupt and sell ir teams, affecting its commercial future and quality of tournament.

Akhtar and PCB have also been at loggerhes over several issues, with latter issuing a legal tice to former for his comments in public about board. While pace bowler recently claimed that board was considering him as a potential candidate to be national chief selector on a YouTube show 'Cricket Baaz', a Pakistani journalist h enquired about same to national cricket board, which denied offering any role to former cricketer.
