Pakistan Cricket Board is mulling over several options in a bid to convince Bangladesh to tour Pakistan for two-match Test series, according to sources. A reliable source in PCB told PTI on Friday that Bangladesh Board has been asked to send a delegation to Pakistan for talks on scheduled series. " feeling is that BCB can still be convinced to come and play Tests in Pakistan despite ir stance that y can't have a long duration tour of country at moment," source said.

He said several options will be put before BCB officials and one of m is to play matches in Karachi and Rawalpindi. Ar option is to split series with Bangladesh playing one Test in January and second one later in year. "Pakistan is willing to address BCB's concerns and is also ready to make ir stay short but y want Bangladesh team to play Tests even at cost of forgoing white ball series as Pakistan is short on Test matches," he said. "Pakistan is even willing to provide m presidential level security," he added.

source said that playing series at neutral venues was out of question as PCB strongly felt that with teams w coming to Pakistan, especially Sri Lanka, BCB must give a feasible reason for t wanting to play Tests in Pakistan. He also said that PCB itself was w feeling heat as it could end up facing litigations from its broadcaster and sponsors if Bangladesh does t fulfil its commitment as per ICC calender. "PCB has contractual obligations with broadcasters and sponsors and Bangladesh series is part of contract signed with se people. If series is t held in Pakistan on time, PCB could end up facing litigations for loss of revenue," he said. He said PCB will t ruled out option of seeking compensation from BCB if it faced litigations from its broadcaster and sponsors.
