People staged a night-time cricket match on the street in Peckham, south London, on Wednesday after they were forced to leave pubs and restaurants due to a curfew imposed by the UK government.

A video posted on Twitter by filmmaker James Jones showed people playing cricket in Rye Lane, with a crowd of spectators gathered outside Peckham Rye station.

People did not appear to follow social distancing regulations, and it was unclear if many people were wearing masks.

Following a rise in the number of new coronavirus cases the UK government imposed a 10 p.m (2100 GMT) curfew on pubs and restaurants across the country.
