Indian captain Rohit Sharma had said after the final Test match against New Zealand that the players will undergo match simulations upon reaching Australia. Earlier, a practice match was scheduled against the Ruturaj Gaikwad -led India A side but that was later called off by the BCCI following the Test series whitewash handed by the Kiwis. Rohit had explained that it is better for the players to do match simulations rather than a practice game because each one of them will get more time in middle.
