Police have arrested the man who broke the security perimeter and barged into the ground during the India-Bangladesh Test at being played at the Holkar Stadium

Police have arrested the man who broke the security perimeter and barged into the ground during the India-Bangladesh Test being played at the Holkar Stadium allegedly to meet Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, according to the Additional Superintendent of Police, Anil Patidar.

Entry ticket seized from the intruder

"The person who entered the cricket field was a big fan of Virat Kohli. He has been apprehended and there is an investigation going on. He has been identified as Suraj Bisht," Patidar said.

"Prima facie it looks like he was just going to meet Kohli as he is a big fan but was caught by the security on the ground," Patidar added.

The police added that Bisht is a cook by profession and his ticket for entry to the stadium has been confiscated. He was wearing a T-shirt with Kohli's name printed on it, had a tattoo of Kohli's name on his arm, and 'VK' was written on his face, revealed the officer.

In the first test that was played between November 14 to 16, saw India dominating the game and emerging victorious in the third day of the longest format of the game with two days to spare. Bangladesh decided to bat first by winning the toss but could only manage with 150 runs on the score-board. While dominating the game, India declared its innings after a blistering knock scoring a total of 493/6. Indian opener Mayank Agarwal scored his second double ton in the game [243 runs from 330 balls with 28 fours and 8 sixes]. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja scored a quick 54 runs from 72 balls and 60 runs from 76 balls respectively while Ajinkya Rahane gave a stand of 86 runs from 172 balls. Bangladesh in its second innings failed to make a come-back and the side was all out on 213 runs. Mayank Agarwal was named the Player of the Match.
