As per ESPNcricinfo, Mumbai cricketer along with As Khan were two Indian players who h entered CPL draft earlier this year. Pravin Tambe finished rain-affected match with figures of 1/15 from just 1 over as TKR defeated Zouks by 6 wickets after Duckworth Lewis System (DLS) was implemented. Afghanistan cricketer Najibullah Zran was Tambe's maiden CPL 2020 wicket.

Pravin Tambe t to play IPL 2020
While most of his TKR teammates will be heing to UAE to take part in IPL 2020, Pravin Tambe will be returning home as he will longer be part of IPL 2020. At 48 years of , Pravin Tambe became oldest cricketer ever to be purchased by any IPL franchise when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signed him for ₹20 lakh during IPL auction. However, BCCI decided later to t allow him to be part of event since he failed to meet board's criteria of participation.

Pravin Tambe reportedly participated in 2018 and 2019 editions of Abu Dhabi T10 League. According to guidelines set by BCCI, n-retired Indian players cant take part in overseas leagues without prior permission. Because of Tambe’s earlier involvement with Sindhis and rrn Warriors in 2018 and 2019 editions of T10 respectively, cricketer has been reportedly banned from competing in IPL 2020.
