Prithvi Shaw , the out-of-favour Indian cricket team batsman, recently celebrated his 25th birthday on November 9. He received the best birthday gift of the day when he was included in Mumbai's list of 28 probable players for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scheduled to take place from November 23 to December 15. This was even more special because Shaw recently lost his spot in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy team.

Prithvi Shaw's inclusion in the list of probable players for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy may have brought relief to the batsman. Shaw was dropped from the Ranji Trophy team due to fitness issues, which he has been facing for the past few years.

Prithvi Shaw was once touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket ever since he shot to prominence with his knock of 546 runs in the Harris Shield at the age of 14. Shaw was the captain of the Indian U-19 team that won the U-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018.

Thanks to his achievements, he was handed a Team India debut cap just months after winning the U-19 World Cup. Shaw scored a century in his debut Test match for India. However, Shaw has been struggling with fitness and other disciplinary issues since then and has been unable to earn his place back in the Indian team.
