Team India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has one of the smartest cricketing brains and will certainly go down as one of the greats that the game has ever seen. Ashwin who was left out of the WTC 2023 final has been extremely blunt and has said that the Indian team doesn’t have the same kind of patience that has enabled the English team's attacking approach to flourish under the leadership duo of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum.

Ashwin further elaborated his views and said:

Let us just assume India is adopting Bazball during this crucial transition phase and a player throws his bat at everything like Harry Brook and gets out and we lose two Test matches. What are we going to do? Will we back the concept of Bazball and back the players? We will drop at least four players from our playing XI.

Despite everything happening around them, the English team has been very clear that they want to play an attacking and entertaining brand of cricket and are hardly concerned about the results that come their way. The Indian team on the other hand had a decent outing in the Caribbean islands after losing the WTC Final to Australia. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team sealed the two-match Test series by a margin of 1-0.
