Sunday's T20I match in Delhi saw Bangladesh clinch their first-ever T20I victory against India. Another conversation which revolved around the match was the risk that the heavy air pollution in Delhi posed to the players and the spectators. Indian spin-king Ravichandran Ashwin tweeted on Monday about the degrading air quality in the city and its increasing threat due to the possibility of the air spreading in the southern and eastern parts of the country, which includes Ashwin's hometown, Chennai.

Not a localised issue
Environmentalists had earlier written to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly in an effort to get the first T20I shifted out of the stadium. It remained a major talking point through the day, even as the match was completed eventually since a heavy amount of smog was noticed while the match was broadcast live. India's premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin retweeted a tweet about how Delhi's poor air was slowly migrating, which is a worrying sign.

Ashwin's tweet engaged a lot of his fans as they expressed similar opinions or asked the player for his inputs on the issue. The Tamil Nadu player was quick to interact with such tweets. When a user suggested tree plantation, Ashwin replied with this.

It seems that Ashwin carries an informed opinion on the topic, making him looking forward to starting a conversation. Another user replied to Ashwin's twee, accused him of being biased towards the area of Tamil Nadu.
Ashwin quickly answered the tweet with a very subtle but effective tweet.
