What happened in India vs. West Indies 3rd T20?

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, West Indies made a good start. Openers Kyle Mayers and Brandon King gave the hosts a solid foundation and took the team past 50 without any hassle. However, despite that, the run rate wasn't up to the mark and could not go past 8. The Windies batsmen adopted a cautious approach and with it gave India the target of 160.

Chasing 160, India endured a horrible start as debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal could not replicate the blitz from the Test series, and held out after just opening his account. Shubman Gill's poor run continues and he departed after just making 6 off 11. India were reeling at 34 for 2 when  Suryakumar Yadav and new batting sensation Tilak Varma came into the middle. The two launched the attack on the Windies and successfully took the match away from them. SKY finished at 83 off 44 and was adjudged the man of the match, and Varma scored an unbeaten 49 off 37. India won the match by 7 wickets.
