Rahul Dravid refuses extra incentive from the BCCI, requests for equal pay as the support staff
Outgoing Team India coach Rahul Dravid was supposed to receive a sum of ₹5 Crore from the prize money announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after India's historic win at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The coaching and support staff are receiving ₹2.5 Cr each, but Dravid was handed an incentive of ₹2.5 Cr, making the total amount five crore.
However, as per reports, Rahul Dravid has denied the added incentive from the BCCI and wants to receive the same amount his support staff are set to get, i.e.: ₹2.5 Crore.
“Rahul wanted the same bonus money ( ₹2.5 crore) as the rest of his support staff (bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, fielding coach T Dilip and batting coach Vikram Rathore). We respect his sentiments,” a BCCI source said as per reports.

Dravid has had the principle of receiving the same amount as his support staff, and it goes way back to when the U-19 Team India won the World Cup in 2018. He had rejected the additional pay offered to him, leading to the management revising the pay.
Dravid has won hearts on and off the game as he successfully led Team India to new heights. Despite missing out on the ODI World Cup title, the Dravid-mentored side did not back down as they put up the effort to win the T20 World Cup title in the Caribbean.
