After Sourav Ganguly's indictment in the conflict of interest case, it’s the turn of Rahul Dravid now to face the music from BCCI's ethics officer DK Jain.

Dravid will have to depose before Jain in Mumbai at 11 am on Thursday and explain his position as to how he was not in conflict. The complaint of Conflict of Interest to BCCI was lodged by Sanjeev Gupta, a life member of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association.
Earlier, Rahul Dravid was asked to choose between his job as NCA director & his position as India Cements Vice-President by the BCCI. Dravid had reportedly informed COA chief Vinod Rai about his resignation from India Cements.

Contradiction?
Later, Rai had said on record that Dravid had indeed resigned. "Rahul Dravid was (in breach) because he was employed by India Cements. He has been made to stop that. You can check-up. There is a resignation."

But Republic TV found out a letter that exposes the real truth of the case.
In a letter to Dravid, India Cements senior general manager G Vijayan writes: "We state to confirm that we have No Objection to your proposed contract with the BCCI in respect to the position of Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy as described in your letter. We hereby grant you leave of absence from your employment during the term and tenure of your engagement with the BCCI, for an initial period of Two (2) years."

Here's the letter
This technically means Rahul Dravid did not resign and is currently on a two-year "leave of absence".
There is a huge difference between 'resignation' and "leave of absence". During leave of absence, one still remains an employee and can still be loyal to the employer.
As per the BCCI constitution, holding more than one post at the same time amounts to conflict and one has to give up other posts and can continue with only one in order to be associated with BCCI in any capacity.
