Rajasthan Royals to have Instagram live session with Robin Uthappa for special cause

Robin Uthappa and the Rajasthan Royals are trying to provide over 100,000 meals to the needy in Rajasthan during the Coronavirus lockdown. Here are the details.

One of most consistent batsmen in IPL, Robin Uthappa was dropped by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2020 auction after six seasons with franchise. However, Rajasthan Royals showed faith in Robin Uthappa and picked him up at auction. However, besides cricket, in such trying times, Uthappa is looking to provide some relief to people in need along with an NGO and Rajasthan Royals.

Robin Uthappa and Rajasthan Royals to go live to fundraise for people in need

On Wednesday, Rajasthan Royals anunced that ir newest star Robin Uthappa will be going live on team's Facebook p on Thursday at 8 PM IST as part of a fundraising initiative towards needy. India lockdown has left thousands of needy families starving and Uthappa, along with Gram Chetna Kendra, is working hard to provide meals to needy in Rajasthan.

Robin Uthappa mentioned how 100,000 meals have already been provided and ar 100,000 of m may be possible if Rajasthan Royals fans donate to cause during fundraising live session. Uthappa urged fans to turn up for Facebook live session in huge numbers and mentioned how even 7 lakh people making donations of "minimal" amount could help cause. Here is full post.

Coronavirus India: IPL suspended amid India lockdown

IPL was supposed to begin on March 29 but due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic, tournament has been suspended indefinitely. Robin Uthappa was joining team along with Kings XI Punjab's David Miller and a few or new stars. team was scheduled to be led by Steve Smith.
