Rashid Khan gets Australian Open fever with tennis serve during BBL match; watch clip

Rashid Khan seemed to have been gripped by Australian Open fever after he pulled out an unorthodox shot which was more like a tennis swat against Ben Cutting.

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is t only Adelaide Strikers' strike bowler, but a useful batsman lower down order, who can score quick runs with bat. 21-year-old has shown in Big Bash League (BBL) matches that he can play a various range of shots which makes it a little difficult for a bowler to bowl at him. He has already become famous in Australia for his antics and performances on field alike. However, ar antic of his broke internet on Tuesday during Strikers' match against Brisbane Heat at Gabba, Brisbane.

BBL: Rashid Khan hits Australian Open style shot against Brisbane Heat


On Tuesday, during BBL match between Brisbane Heat, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan seemed to have been gripped by Australian Open fever after he pulled out an urthodox shot against Ben Cutting, which seemed more like a tennis serve. It was second delivery of 14th over in which Cutting banged ball short after seeing Rashid walking down wicket. But that didn't stop Afghanistan batsman from completing his unusual shot. However, Rashid missed ball completely and it went straight through to keeper, followed by which he gave a wry smile back to bowler.

BBL: Adelaide Strikers' Rashid Khan hits biggest six of BBL so far 


Before playing that tennis-like shot to Ben Cutting, Rashid Khan had smashed same bowler for a huge six on fifth ball of 16th over. six was 104 meters long, which is by far biggest in tournament so far. After winning toss and batting first, Adelaide Strikers failed to get ir innings going and were bowled out for just 110 runs inside 20 overs.

Rashid Khan was top scorer for side with 28 runs and apart from him, or Strikers batsman mand to stay at wicket despite getting starts. For Brisbane Heat, Australia pacer James Pattinson was successful bowler picking up 5 wickets. Heat were at 67-2 in 8 overs in run chase at time of writing this report.
