R Sridhar reveals that Ravi Shastri threatened Australian government 

Several members of Indian team were stationed in UAE for 13th edition of Indian Premier League. coaching staff, along with Test specialists, joined m in Dubai as Indian contingent was scheduled to travel to Australia directly after completion of cash-rich league. Speaking on R Ashwin's YouTube channel, Sridhar revealed how Ravi Shastri counter Australian government's mind games before ir travel.

Sridhar pointed out that 48 hours prior to ir flight, Indian team manment was informed that players will t be allowed to travel with ir families. This apparently infuriated Ravi Shastri and in a Zoom meeting with coaching staff, 58-year-old stated that y will t fly to Australia if families are t allowed. Sridhar explained that seven cricketers were travelling with ir partners and kids, and it was t going to be an easy task of breaking news to m.

Ravi Shastri mentioned how he had been touring to Australia since past 40 years and he is well aware of how to deal with ir tactics. Sridhar added that Shastri n had discussions with  Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and eventually got his way. Australian government was forced to work overnight on weekend in order to ensure that touring party gets necessary permissions.
