Ravichandran Ashwin Leapfrogs Anil Kumble

Upon trapping the Bangladeshi captain Najmul Hossain Shanto in front for an LBW, Ravichandran Ashwin became the leading wicket-taker from India in Tests in Asia. Ashwin's tally of wickets in the continent has reached to 420, whereas Kumble ended his career with 419 wickets in Asia. Thus, he has surpassed Anil Kumble in that account.

When it comes to the overall number, Ravichandran Aswhin has 523 wickets to his name after 102 Tests. Anil Kumble on the other hand took 619 wickets in 132 Tests.
