During Ashes series earlier this year, in what was one of biggest achievements of Johnson's career as former fast bowler was elected as an Horary Life Member of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). series was tied at 2-2 but Australia retained Ashes after having won in 2017/18 edition. Mitchell Johnson started his cricketing career for Australia in 2005 and hung up his boots in 2015. In his decade-long career, speedster has featured in 73 Tests, 153 One Day Internationals and 30 T20Is for five-time World Cup holders. Speaking about World Cups, veteran quickie was a part of Australia's two successful World Cup triumphs in 2007 and 2015 respectively. ex-cricketer was also a part of Ricky Ponting-led side that had won back-to-back Champions Trophies in 2006 and 2009 respectively. When it comes to Ashes, left-arm fast bowler was at his lethal best during 2013/14 series where his fiery spell left English batsmen in a spot of bor. Johnson was adjudged Man of Series for 37 scalps in five matches where Australia recorded only third 5–0 Ashes whitewash in history. He had also won three Man of Match awards in that series.
