Rishabh Pant Discusses His Camradarie With Shubman Gill After Explosive Partnership Against BAN

One of the biggest moments of the India vs Bangladesh Test match was the return of Rishabh Pant . The wicketkeeper-batter made his long-awaited comeback in red-ball cricket for the Men in Blue as the star cricketer wreaked havoc. While the first innings did not work out that much, Pant was a beast unleashed in the second innings as he scored a ton in his comeback match. He forged a crucial partnership with Shubman Gill which helped India secure a total of 500+ runs after they declared their innings. The Stumper opened up on his bond with the opener and how having a bond with Gill has helped him develop the formidable partnership during India's second innings.

Rishabh Pant Dishes on His Dynamic Parternership With Shubman Gill During IND vs BAN Chennai Test

The BCCI shared a video on 'X' [Formerly Twitter] as the media personnel caught up with Rishabh Pant to talk about his Test Cricket comeback for Team India. The Stumper spoke upon the dynamic duo vibe he has with compatriot Shubman Gill as they forged a solid partnership to keep India in top gear. He revealed that once you have a good relationship with each other on and off the field, it helps players to bat and develop a partnership. He also mentioned having some fun conversations with Gill as they batted throughout the day.

"I think one thing I have understood over a period of time is that when you have a great relationship outside the field or off the field, it really helps to bat with that guy. I think because when you share a great bond outside, you understand how that other person is thinking about how the game is moving around, and we were just having fun, having fun chats, talking about the game a little bit.

"But at the same time, because at the end of the day, we both knew what we wanted to do. We were just trying to make ourselves relax and just wanted to stitch a great partnership, very regular," Rishabh Pant explained.

Team India has taken up a 1-0 lead in the Test series after the Men in Blue secured a 280-run victory at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Now, all eyes are on the Kanpur Test, which will take place at the Green Park Stadium. The Indian Cricket Team will be aiming for a whitewash, while the Bangla Tigers will be aiming to bounce back from the loss to draw the series.
