India's world cup winning wicketkeeper and batsman Rishabh Pant is once again making the limelight on Social Media but this time not for his performances on the pitch but for his incredible gesture off it.
In an incredible gesture on Social Media the Delhi Capitals skipper helped out a struggling engineering education student in funding his education. But as it turns out, people on Social Media are speculating that Rishabh Pant might have been fallen prey to a scam.
Pant helps engineering student
Recently, Kartikey Maurya a student pursuing Engineering degree from Chandigarh University had started a go fund me campaign on Social Media to help him in paying his Semester Fees of 9 Lakh Rs.
According to Maurya he was working as an SEO specialist part time to help out in his education. However, having lost a stable job he went through a financial crunch in paying his education fees. As it turned out, Maurya in an attempt reached out to Rishabh Pant on X via his handle True India Scenes to help fund his education and also spread awareness about his campaign.
In an incredible gesture, Rishabh Pant came to the student's aid and helped him financially and also sent a special message to keep chasing his dreams.
“Keep chasing your dreams. God has better plans always tc,” wrote Rishabh Pant on X.
Maurya upon receiving support from Rishabh Pant was overwhelmed and thanked the star Indian Cricketer for helping him take a big step towards his dream.
Did Rishabh Pant get Scammed?
Rishabh Pant's incredible gesture did win many hearts but there were some on Social Media that tried to berate Maurya for being a fraud and scam people.
To which the student responded saying ketto doesn't allow users to list fundraisers without valid proof.
However, a screenshot is circulating on Social Media where the same account back in April was asking for funds having lost 90K betting on RCB in the IPL.
Given the flak, True India Scenes have now limited the reach of the account. This has further raised the speculation that Rishabh Pant has been scammed.
As of now the amount of money Rishabh Pant donated for the fundraiser is not yet known and there is no official confirmation on whether the fundraiser was a scam or not.
