After Sachin Tendulkar’s Sachin: A Billion Dreams, Dhoni is the latest to adapt his life story to a documentary drama. This, however, will be on the digital platform. Talking about the Roar of the Lion in an interview with PTI, the director says the series is a human exploration, one beyond the obvious, to show what the phase did to the people involved. The film has already been released on March 20th and it has got an enormously positive response from the audience.

The director talks about the film
"We know all about the broad strokes, the legal side, and the uproar. We don't know what was happening to the individuals beyond those headlines. This is a story behind the headlines. Were these headlines affecting Dhoni? Of course, they were, but he never spoke about it, until now," said Kabir Khan.

The series breezes through the tournament’s middle phase, but when it comes to cracking a joke at their own expense, they don’t hold back. In response to the average age of the squad being around 33-34, Dhoni is regularly heard referring to the squad as Dad’s army or even Chennai Senior Kings. That’s the squad’s only honest evaluation for the 2018 edition. Dhoni remains the documentary’s focus and he’s the soul of the whole piece. Give it a watch just to hear Dhoni speaking out because he seldom does it!
