Ind vs Ban: India captain Rohit Sharma is receiving praise for having KL Rahul at leg slip for Mominul Haque on the final day of the Kanpur Test. On the final day of the Kanpur Test on Tuesday, Rohit had Rahul at leg-slip when Ravichandran Ashwin was bowling. It eventually proved to be a masterstroke as Mominul was eventually caught at leg-slip by Rahul. It was a sharp catch by Rahul. Mominul perished for merely two runs. The left-handed batter had played the sweep and got the returns in the first essay and hence that little adjustment was done. Former India opener Sunil Gavaskar hailed Rohit while on commentary during the match.

‘Rohit fully deserves the credit’

Sunil Gavaskar said, "Great captaincy from Rohit Sharma. He fully deserves the credit here, putting a leg slip for someone like Mominul who plays the sweep shot a lot".

AS IT HAPPENED

Indian batters went on a rampage to reset the world records for the fastest team 50, 100 and 200 in men's Test cricket on the fourth day of the rain-affected second match against Bangladesh here on Monday.

Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered 10 fours and a six to make the fourth fastest fifty for any Indian batter from 31 balls and was dismissed for 72 (51 balls, 12x4s, 2x6s), after Rohit Sharma 's early fireworks (23 off 11 balls, 3x6s, 1x4s).

The 50-run mark was breached in a mere 3 overs with the two Indian openers firing on all cylinders here at the Green Park on Monday.
