Recently, in an award function where Rohit was awarded as Men's International Cricketer of Year, he spoke at length about what his goal was.

Rohit also said that it was his dream to transform Indian Cricket Team and he took a lot of pride in what that bunch achieved. Sharma also credited three pillars who he thinks were crucial in Team India's world conquering feat.

'I think, it was my biggest dream to transform this team and t worry too much about stats and results and also to make sure that we create that environment where people can go out re and play freely without thinking too much. This is what was required. I got a lot of help, to be honest my three pillars who are actually Mr. Jay Shah, Mr. Rahul Dravid and Chairman of Selectors, Mr. Ajit Agarkar. It was very critical for me to do what I did and obviously t to forget players who came in different point in time and helped team achieve what we achieve.', said Rohit.

India will travel to Australia for a five-match Test series later this year. se Test matches are a part of Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a title that India haven't lost since 2016.
