Rohit responded with a witty remark as he encouraged fans to save their fireworks for India's World Cup triumph on home soil. "World Cup jeetne ke baad phodo yaar." (Burst the crackers after we win the World Cup)," Rohit quipped during the press conference. His unforgettable statement quickly went viral on social media.

The two-time champions, India, are set to host the 50-over edition of the ICC Men's World Cup next month. Rohit Sharma will lead the men's team in their final white-ball assignment preceding the Asia Cup. As they prepare for the ICC event in India, Rohit and his team will engage in a three-match One Day International (ODI) series against the five-time world champions, Australia. The series will start on September 22 in Mohali.

India's squad for Australia ODI series likely to see some changes

The BCCI is likely to announce the squad for the Australia series on Monday. It is highly unlikely that the squad for the series against Australia will be the same as Asia Cup and World Cup. Media reports suggest that the BCCI will conduct a press conference later this evening to announce the squad.
