IND vs BAN Test Series: After the 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup, Team India's next target will be to win the coveted World Test Championship mace. The WTC finals will be played next year and India will look to win it for the first time. Unfortunately for India, they have played two consecutive WTC finals (2021 and 2023), but they have lost on both the occasions. With 10 more Test matches (5 home and 5 away), India are on the top of the WTC points table.

The Indian team will play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in September. Though these Test matches are of very high importance, it will also give skipper Sharma to register a massive world record. With 12 Test, 31 ODIs and 5 T20I tons, Rohit is only two centuries away from completing fifty international career hundreds. Rohit can also become the third Indian batter after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli to achieve to feat.

Rohit Sharma's Greatest 'Down Under' Test

India still have 10 Test matches to play in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Five of them will be at home ( 2 against Bangladesh and 3 against New Zealand) and the remaining five will be played in Australia. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is one of the sought after Test series and India are the defending champions. This is the first time that Sharma will be travelling to Australia as the skipper of India's Test side and he will look to defend India's BGT crown.
