The Indian skipper, who has amassed 745 runs in 22 games and is the second-highest run scorer for India in the competition, is one of the Asia Cup's most prolific run scorers. Only Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary Indian batsman, is ahead of him. In 23 games, The Master Blaster amassed 971 runs at an amazing average of 51.10, including two centuries and seven fifty-plus scores. The 36-year-old simply needs 226 runs in the Asia Cup to tie Sachin's record and one more to surpass him as India's top run scorer in the illustrious competition.
