Members of Team India led by skipper Rohit Sharma are the World T20 Champions and they have achieved this feat in some style. The 'men in blue' are the only team in the history of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup to win the tournament undefeated. With the historic win against South Africa, Rohit Sharma also became the only skipper to have 50 wins in T20Is. Certainly, a record breaking feat for the skipper, the team and the country.
Rohit Sharma Answers PM Modi On Viral Grass-Eating Moment
After India won at Barbados, ecstatic scenes broke out and the players celebrated the end of India's 11 years old title drought. There was a relief on skipper Rohit Sharma's face. He had accomplished his mission, a mission of winning a World Cup for India. Rohit and his Indian Team came pretty close to winning the ODI World Cup in 2023, but they faltered in the finals against India and it was a heartbreak that took a lot of days for him and for the Indian fans to process.

The current T20 World Cup winners landed in India on July 4, 2024 and they were welcomed with open arms everywhere. Cricket fans flocked the Delhi Airport in the early hours of July 4 just to get a glimpse of their champions and the World T20 trophy. After meeting the Prime Minister in Delhi, the Indian Team then headed towards Mumbai to participate in a victory parade that will go down in Indian cricketing history as one of the happiest days.
