Ind vs Ban: India captain Rohit Sharma is set to address the media today ahead of the first Test at Chennai versus Bangladesh . The press conference is scheduled to start in the afternoon on Tuesday, a couple of days ahead of the Test match. It would be interesting to see if the Indian captain announces the playing XI for the Chennai Test or not. Rohit would be asked a few tough questions by the media and like always, there will be a key interest around the presser. The Indian team has been training in Chennai for three days now and would have got used to the conditions which should help. As per reports, the presser is scheduled to start at 1:45 PM IST.

Team India will begin their red-ball schedule and keep their case for the World Test Championship Final. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named in the official squad first Test match against Bangladesh , which will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The first test match will begin on September 19, 2024, at 09:30 AM IST. After the two-Test series against Bangladesh , India will host New Zealand for a three-match Test series before travelling to Australia later in the year for the much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy.
