Rohit Sharma writes heartfelt Insta post after playing his 100th T20I

Team India's stand-in-skipper Rohit Sharma on Friday achieved a major milestone after becoming first Indian male cricketer to play his 100th T20I. He celebrated milestone by scoring a quickfire 85 runs to help India level three-match T20I series 1-1. Sharma's pyrotechnics helped India win match with 26 balls to spare and also helped him bag Player-of--Match award.

right-handed opening batsman took to Instagram and shared an im of youngster Shivam Dube, who gave him a special cap to celebrate his achievement and said that he is indebted to have this opportunity to do something for country.

Rohit Sharma breaks records in Rajkot T20I
Sharma became first batsman to reach 2,500-run mark in shortest format, surpassing his current skipper Virat Kohli (2450 runs) to become top run-getter in T20I cricket. Apart from that, he also equalled Kohli's record of most 50 plus scores in T20Is. Kohli has registered 22 fifty-plus scores in T20Is.

He also went past wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni to become most capped player in T20I format. Dhoni has played 98 games in T20I format. 32-year-old also bagged record of hitting most number of sixes (35) in T20Is as captain.
