Ross Taylor roars ahead of India tour, asserts home condition as an edge over visitors

Ahead of India's month-long New Zealand tour, Ross Taylor asserted that the Blackcaps are back on home soil and that no one knows conditions better than them

After a humiliating defeat at hands of Australia in Tests, Blackcaps w gear up to face India across formats beginnings with T20s on January 24. Kiwis will surely look to grab some wins hoping change in format brings some change in ir fortune.

Veteran batsman Ross Taylor on Wednesday ackwledged team's loss against Australia and said that team has shifted focus to white-ball cricket as India tour begins with shortest format of game.

'India will be a totally different opposition'

Taylor, who recently became highest run-scorer for New Zealand in Tests, asserted that Blackcaps are w back on home soil and that one kws conditions better than m.

" Australia series didn't go as well as we would have liked, we were completely outplayed in all facets of game throughout whole series, but w we're back on home soil and India will be a totally different opposition," Taylor remarked.

He also ackwledged fact that India might be number one team in world but home conditions might just give Blackcaps an edge over visitors.

Taylor said, "y [india] are . 1 team in world, but we're obviously in conditions that we kw, so let's get through white-ball phase first before we get on to talking about that."

India look to refurbish record against NZ

While New Zealand will look forward to capitalising on home conditions and make most out of it, India on or hand, have t had great success against Blackcaps. In 11 T20 Internationals against New Zealand, India have only mand to win 3  of m.

However, a recent change in team's approach keeps hope of a better series alive as visitors also look forward to building ir core for upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.
