Naveen-ul-Haq is a name that made reverberations in the IPL 2023 season. He was one of the participants in the uproarious match 43 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants, where Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli had an infamous spat. Ul Haq also had a verbal back-and-forth with Kohli in the match, and following the conclusion of the episode, he took the matters on social media.

He finished the IPL 2023 season with 11 wickets in 8 matches, but the performance could not fetch him a place in the Asia Cup squad. However, Afghanistan's subdued campaign in the continental tournament forced the selection committee to make some changes and hence Naveen ul-haq has received the call-up for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

The enthusiasts are excited to see the Kohli vs. Ul-Haq contest again, which might be exhibited on October 11, when India and Afghanistan will square off at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi. So, with all to look forward to, the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will commence from october 5, 2023. Team India will start its campaign on October 8 against the mighty Aussies. The final of the tournament will be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
