Royal Rumble after Super Over? Jos Buttler knows how to decide who will keep the WWE's World Cup belt

Hours after World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) revealed a special memento for the World Cup winners England, wicketkeeper Jos Buttler suggested a trademark WWE contest to decide who keeps the belt.

Hours after World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) revealed a special memento for the World Cup winners England, wicketkeeper Jos Buttler suggested a trademark WWE contest to decide who keeps the belt. 

Replying to WWE's post on Twitter, Buttler recommended a Royal Rumble contest to determine the winner of the belt and he said that the last man standing would keep the belt. Read Buttler's tweet here:

Executive Vice President of WWE Triple H revealed a new championship belt with the logo of England Cricket and took to Twitter to share the same with England. He said that the incredible tournament witnessed an awe-inspiring final and he congratulated the England team for their victory.

England Cricket promptly responded to the wrestler's special message and said that they would wear the belt with pride. Keeping the glory of clinching the World Cup in addition to being ranked the number one One-day International team according to the ICC, England said that they would defend the title with everything they have got. 

Players from the World Cup-winning squad took to Twitter to express their gratitude to their fans.   

England beat New Zealand in the finals of the 2019 World Cup by a boundary count rule after the thrilling match saw two instances of a tie including one in the Super Over, following which England was declared winners as they scored more boundaries (24) as compared to New Zealand (16). 

Youngster Jofra Archer held his nerves as he bowled the Super Over to New Zealand's James Neesham and Martin Guptill, who failed to get the Kiwis over the line after a run-out in the last ball of the Super Over.

"They've been actually through a better tournament than we have. The fact a trophy is sitting here is, you know -- like I mentioned, we got the rub of the green today, New Zealand, throughout the group stages, were absolutely outstanding, very consistent and in the semifinal were very ruthless in playing against India, India are an extremely strong team," skipper Eoin Morgan said in the post-match press conference.
