Run-machine Virat Kohli and Goal-machine Harry Kane continue their mutual admiration for each other on social media; here's the latest exchange

Indian skipper Virat Kohli will be eyeing a third World Cup crown in England & Wales. He had won the coveted trophy as a player but will now be eager to add yet another feather in his cap as a skipper.

Before Kohli led India to the field for their first warm-up match against New Zealand on Saturday, the charismatic captain came face-to-face with another charismatic sporting personality Harry Kane, who is Tottenham Hotspur's star footballer and also the captain of the English football team. 

The star footballer had posted a selfie with Virat Kohli on Twitter as he wrote, 'After a few tweets in the last couple of years good to finally meet @imVkohli. A great guy and a brilliant sportsman'. 

The top-ranked batsman in Tests and One-Day Internationals appreciated Kane's tweet by saying that it was a pleasure meeting him. At the same time, he also wished the Spurs superstar all the best for the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool which will be played on June 1.

The two sporting icons have shared a mutual admiration for each other since the last few years.

After Virat Kohli's match-winning knock against Australia in the ICC World T20 2016, Kane had complimented Kohli for his stellar knock.

The stylish batsman then responded to Kane by acknowledging him on his goal against Germany which England won 3-2.

Kohli had also sent his best wishes to Harry Kane before last year's FIFA World Cup where England had reached the semifinals.

Kane, who was leading England, replied back to Kohli's message by saying 'Thanks Virat, not a bad start!'
