Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar took to his Twitter and lauded the stellar performance exhibited by Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane. Rohit Sharma along with Ajinkya Rahane steadied the innings for India. Tendulkar hailed the composure and intent shown by the two batsmen after losing early wickets. Having lost the openers Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara and skipper Virat Kohli early in the first session, The 267 run partnership between the two fueled the score forward.

Rohit Hits Maiden Double Ton
Continuing on his merry way, Rohit Sharma scored his maiden double century in Test against South Africa in Ranchi on Sunday. Rohit reached the landmark in 249 balls, smashing 28 boundaries and 4 sixes. 'Hitman' further became the 4th batsman to hit a double hundred in Test and ODI cricket after the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Chris Gayle. Rohit has so far hit 17 sixes and has surpassed Shimron Hetmyer's tally of 15 sixes.

Rahane Reaches 11th Test Ton
Ajinkya Rahane registered his eleventh Test century against South Africa on Day two of the third Test in Ranchi on Sunday. Ajinkya Rahane's gritty knock of 100 runs came off 169 balls, with 14 boundaries and one six. Resuming Day two after rain forced an early halt on Day one, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane began the day with positive intent as they rotated the strike and took quick singles. South Africa's attempt to rattle the Indian batting line-up with a renewed pace attack on a fresh day did not stop the Sharma-Rahane duo from marching on ahead, as India crossed the 250 runs mark on the first session of the day.
India create history
India have completely dominated South Africa in the ongoing three-match Test series between them in India. India sealed the series victory in the second match itself by thumping the Proteas by a margin of an innings and 137 runs. The series has totally belonged to the Indians in all three departments of the games. India will look ahead for a whitewash of South Africa with the third match which is underway at Ranchi. The third match has already witnessed India give a tough time to the Africans as Rohit Sharma notched up his maiden Test double century. With his double century, this is the first time ever that three Indian batsmen have scored a double century in the same Test series.
