Sachin Tendulkar wants two innings of 25 overs per side

former Indian opener had earlier suggested splitting 50 overs into "two innings of 25 overs per side" with a 15-minute break, which will increase interest among crowd as well as broadcasters. He mentioned same idea back in 2009. ICC had even considered idea but did t implement it. Speaking to a leading Indian media daily, Tendulkar said that ODI format needed a tweak of two innings of 25 overs per side with a 15-minute break between each innings (a total of four innings between two teams). He added that re were a lot of invations that could be made. Tendulkar said that if se modifications were made to game, teams will have a better chance of coming back into game. He added that in an ODI, if a side won toss and re was dew, n that gave  side bowling second virtually  chance as a wet ball just skids on surface, making it an unfair battle.  Mumbai-born batsman also gave example of recent quarterfinal between Mumbai and Chhattisgarh of Vijay Hazare Trophy, which ended in a -result due to rains resulting in Mumbai getting kcked out of tournament. Due to bad wear, a number of games were affected in  tournament and resulted in exit of Mumbai and Punjab because of  reserve days. Tendulkar also spoke about vagueness of  Duckworth & Lewis method as one understood it except those two on whom method was based. He added that six extra balls in  bowling powerplay would balance battle between bat and ball as it would be exciting for viewers because teams would constantly rethink ir strategies.
