Sachin Tendulkar made and broke many records in his long and illustrious career. Not only did he motivate the kids to take up the sport with his performance, but he was also admired for his values as a human being. The 46-year-old continues his charity drive along with cricketing greats like West Indies' Brian Lara, former Sri Lankan batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan, and South African Jonty Rhodes as they are expected to feature in the Road Safety World Series

Road Safety World Series
The Road Safety World Series will be an annual T20 affair between legends of five cricket-playing nations, during which cricketers will spread the message of road safety. The inaugural edition of the league, promoted by 'Shant Bharat Surakshit Bharat', an organisation working with the Road Transport Department of Maharashtra government, will be held in February 2020.

Sachin Tendulkar sponsors free education for kids of Apnalaya
Apnalaya is a non-profit organisation, which works for kids living in under-served slums of Mumbai. Tendulkar supported this organisation by sponsoring free education for more than 200 deprived children. Apart from that he also sponsored stationery items and uniforms for the students. He also committed a minimum of Rs 25 lakh to Apnalaya to help fight child malnutrition from the sale of his book “Playing It My Way”.

Sachin Tendulkar’s timely help for his long-time ailing friend
‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’ – The phrase that perfectly suits Tendulkar who helped Dalbir Singh Gill, undergo a hip replacement surgery in a private hospital in Ahmedabad. Dalbir, a former cricketer played with Sachin at the Under-17 level, had met with a road accident in 2002 where suffered major injuries to his legs and also suffered mental trauma.
Sachin Tendulkar adopts villages
The cricketing legend continued his charity work by adopting Puttamrajuvari Kandrika, a village in Andhra Pradesh, and Donja village in Osmanabad (Maharashtra) under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna. He sanctioned over Rs 4 crore from his MPLAD fund and provided them with facilities like underground sewage, concrete roads, 24x7 water, and power supply, and a playground.

Sachin Tendulkar raises money for ‘Support My School’ campaign
Through a unique 12-hour Telethon with Sachin Tendulkar helped raise funds that had a positive impact on the lives of over 70,000 children across 140 schools in India. In a day-long Telethon event, Tendulkar helped and raised nearly Rs. 7 crore, which was used to build sustainable water, sanitation, and other facilities at over 140 schools across the country.
Sachin Tendulkar’s Charity for Uttarakhand
Sachin donated Rs 51 lakh towards a relief fund to help the Uttarakhand state when the enormous flood in 2013 took life of many people.
