Sachin Tendulkar says Rohit Sharma should be in Australia 'if he meets all the parameters'

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has backed Rohit Sharma's inclusion in the Indian squad for the upcoming four-match Test series if he clears the fitness test

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has said that Rohit Sharma should be in Australia for upcoming four-match Test series that gets underway on December 17 if he passes all his fitness tests. 'Hitman' was ruled out of ongoing limited-overs series Down Under after having sustained a hamstring injury while fielding during a Dream11 IPL 2020 league game. He went to National Cricket Acemy (NCA) in Bengaluru for rehabilitation. 

Meanwhile, in Rohit's absence, KL Rahul was India's vice-captain for white-ball leg of this gruelling tour.

'He should be re': Sachin Tendulkar

"I do t kw status of Rohit's fitness. That is something BCCI and Rohit kw, y are in touch with each or and so are physios and team manment. y would be ideal ones to answer this. If Rohit passes all his fitness Tests and is cleared, n a player like Rohit should be re in Australia. If he meets all parameters n he should be re," said Tendulkar while speaking to ANI.

'Rohit Sharma to be assessed on December 11': BCCI

A couple of weeks ago, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finally broke its silence on Rohit's inclusion in Border-Gavaskar trophy, informing that star batsman undergoing his rehabilitation at National Cricket Acemy following which he will be assessed. Providing an update on Rohit Sharma's fitness, BCCI revealed that Indian limited-overs vice-captain will be next assessed on December 11.

apex body also stated that Rohit Sharma's inclusion in Border-Gavaskar trophy will be determined only after fitness assessments. Furrmore, national cricket board also ded that Mumbai skipper h to travel back to Mumbai after IPL to attend to his ailing far and that he has w received clearance to travel to NCA to begin his rehabilitation.
