Sachin Tendulkar urges people to have noise-free Diwali in muted video

ICC Hall of Famer and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar wished fans and well-wishers on the occasion of Diwali with a unique message. Taking to Twitter, Sachin Tendulkar posted a muted video and urged the fans to celebrate a noise-free Diwali. Whether there was a technical glitch that lead to a muted video or was it the Master Blaster's cryptic message is unknown, but the message sure did catch the eyes of the netizens. Sachin Tendulkar urged the people to celebrate a noiseless Diwali and asked them to encourage others to do the same.

Sachin Tendulkar's humanitarian call

The Master Blaster revealed that he was really excited to be back on the field and playing with his opening partner and former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag. Talking about the significance of road safety, Sachin Tendulkar gave an example from his childhood to incite the necessity to follow rules. Sachin Tendulkar asked the people to fill their 'piggy banks' with blessings by following the rules just like how children saved money. Citing another example, Sachin Tendulkar said that elderly people should be helped if they were unable to cross the road on their own and asked the drivers and riders to stop their vehicles in order to let the senior citizens cross. Sachin Tendulkar pointed out that over 200,000 people die every year due to road accidents and that one person died every four minutes because of the same issue. 

"We are lacking patience. Everyone wants everything to happen right away. From my experience, you can have either right or now but it is impossible to have it right now. Patience is one thing we are all lacking", said Sachin Tendulkar 

Road Safety World Series

The first season of the Road Safety World Series tournament will be played in February 2020. The tournament's first season will be played in Mumbai and Pune. The tournament will feature the following teams - India Legends, Australia Legends, South Africa Legends, Sri Lanka Legends and West Indies Legends. The report further states that a total of 110 retired players have already confirmed their participation in the tournament. The tournament will be organised by Professional Management Group in tandem with the Road Safety Cell of the Maharashtra government. This will be the third time that Indian master blaster - Sachin Tendulkar - will return to pitch since his retirement in 2013. The 2011 ICC World Cup previously returned to play at the MCC against Rest of the World XI at Lord's in 2014 followed by three exhibition T20s in America in 2015.
