MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi Dhoni took to Twitter to address the rumours that were raging the internet since the morning and said that the talks were just rumours

Ever since India skipper Virat Kohli shared a picture of a moment from semi-finals of 2016 World T20 with MS Dhoni and himself, speculations of MS Dhoni's retirement spread like wildfire on social media and news portals, with many thinking that Virat Kohli had sent out a cue hinting at former skipper anuncing his retirement. Chief selector MSK Prasad rubbished rumours and said that BCCI did t have any kwledge about MS Dhoni's plans. Ever since India's exit from World Cup after failing to beat New Zealand in semi-finals, speculations of MS Dhoni's retirement have been rife. MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi Dhoni took to Twitter to address rumours that were raging internet since morning. Taking to micro-blogging website, Sakshi wrote 'Its called rumours', indicating that hue about MS Dhoni's retirement was t true. wicketkeeper-batsman completed his two-week stint with 106th battalion of Territorial Army from July 31 to August 15 and is expected to return to action after his break officially ends on September 21. veteran was also t included in T20 squad named for series against South Africa. Many former cricketers have thrown ir weight behind Dhoni and have voiced ir opinion for MS Dhoni to help in team's transition and groom young players before he retires, thus helping India prepare for T20 World Cup next year in Australia and 2023 World Cup in India. MSK Prasad rubbishes rumours of MS Dhoni's retirement

Earlier in day, India skipper Virat Kohli shared a picture of MS Dhoni and himself during a match in 2016, fuelling speculations of MS Dhoni possibly anuncing his retirement. However, chief selector MSK Prasad said that BCCI was unaware of any such plans and that he was surprised that news was doing rounds. Even as MS Dhoni faced a lot of flak and was accused for 'lack of intent' during World Cup, MSK Prasad threw his weight behind Dhoni and assured world that former skipper knew what he was doing.  cricketer-turned-selector still believes that MS Dhoni is a force to reckon with in shorter formats for India with his outstanding abilities behind stumps and his finishing abilities with bat. Prasad also had earlier said that 2011 World Cup-winning skipper was a big strength to team in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 who apart from being a batsman and a keeper also shared his vast experience with team and captain Virat Kohli while taking on-field decisions.
