Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt slammed Pakistan’s selection policy after a disappointing defeat to Australia in their opening ICC World Test Championship game.

Pakistani cricketer Salman Butt slammed country’s selection policy after Pakistan’s disappointing outing at Gabba in Brisbane. Pakistan cricket team, who are currently on a tour to Australia, lost three-match T20I series 0-2. y also lost opening Test against hosts by an innings and 5 runs. Pakistan’s inconsistent performances in past few months have prompted Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and team manment to make a lot of changes within ir set-up.

Salman Butt was of opinion that Pakistan should have gone with ir best team to Australia. While speaking with media, cricketer said that ongoing series is important for country because it is part of inaugural ICC World Test Championship. He added that this occasion was t a time to give new players a chance in playing XI. Instead, y should have gone with ir best possible players. When asked about possibility of his selection in national side once again, he said that he is t a selector and hence he does t have a say in matter.

After ir lacklustre performance at Gabba, Pakistan will w face Australia in a series-deciding game at Adelaide Oval. match will be played between vember 29 and December 3 and it is scheduled to be a Day-Night affair. Pakistan cricket team are currently on a 13-match losing streak in Australia. y have t won a single Test match in country since ir victory at SCG in December 1995.
