Sanju Samson claims that Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir have asked him to focus on red-ball cricket in domestic circuit. Samson, who has been in circuit for nearly two deces is yet to make his Test debut. Claiming that he does not want to just be restricted to playing white-ball cricket, Samson revealed what leership management has asked him to play more Ranji games.
‘I believe I have skillset to succeed in red ball cricket’
"I believe I have skillset to succeed in red ball cricket and I just don’t want myself to be restricted to just white ball cricket. My desire is to play Test cricket for India. Before Duleep Trophy, leership group h told me that y were considering me for red ball cricket and asked me to take it seriously and play more Ranji Trophy matches," Samson said on Sportstar.

"My preparation was good this time around. After series against Sri Lanka I trained at RR Acemy with Rahul Dravid Sir and Zubin Bharucha and worked on my game. century in Duleep Trophy has given me a lot of confidence as it came against some of best bowlers in country," he ded.
