Sarfaraz, Jurel Likely to Miss Out? Rohit Drops Hint on IND's XI Ahead of Chennai Test vs BAN

Ind vs Ban: We are roughly a couple of days away from first Test at Chennai versus Banglesh and Indian captain Rohit Sharma has hinted at playing XI. In a press conference on Tuesday afteron at Chepauk, Rohit said that re were a few injuries in last series and that gave team an opportunity to look at ors. Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel were making ir debuts in that series, but with KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant fit - it is highly unlikely or two get picked.

‘We got opportunity look at new players’

“When we played in last series against India, we h a lot of injuries and that’s when we got opportunity look at new players,” Rohit Sharma said.

“Jaiswal h a great series when we played last time. Jurel showed what he is capable of as well in tough situations. Sarfaraz played fearlessly. You need all kind of players in your squ as well. You need players who are fearless, cautious and we have a mix of everything,” he said furr.

Team India will begin ir red-ball schedule and keep ir case for World Test Championship Final. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named in official squ first Test match against Banglesh , which will take place at MA Chidambaram Stium in Chennai. first test match will begin on September 19, 2024, at 09:30 AM IST. After two-Test series against Banglesh , India will host New Zealand for a three-match Test series before travelling to Australia later in year for much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy.
