Since the senior trio of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement, a lot of anticipation has remained on who will be succeeding them in the limited-over format. A new Team India has recently come off a strong win over Zimbabwe after clinching a 4-1 lead to finish the series. It is a remarkable moment for the players as they can make their case to assert dominance and take over the vacant spots. Team India's latest performance in Harare speaks volumes, and skipper Shubman Gill believes the selectors will have a lot of choices to make before the Men in Blue embark on their journey to Sri Lanka.

Shubman Gill says selectors have seen it all of India's players vying for a position in Sri Lanka series
With the India tour of Sri Lanka all set to begin in a few days, the selectors of the Indian Cricket Team will have quite a task to select the players for the job after the Men in Blue's dominant showcase against Zimbabwe. Subhman Gill feels that way as he believes almost all players who faced Zimbabwe have stamped their authority in the game.
"It's a good thing that everyone's performing. It shows that everyone is hungry and nobody is ready to take it easy. For any country or board, that's always a good thing.
"Anyone who got the opportunity grabbed it with both hands. The openers to bowlers to all-rounders to spinners, everyone made a mark and I think the selectors have now seen everything and it's up to them to name the squad for the next series," Shubman Gill said after India sealed a 4-1 series win over Zimbabwe in Harare.

After stamping their dominance against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club, Team India will embark on their journey to their next location as they will face Sri Lanka in a white ball series. T20 ODIs and T20Is will take place on both sides, and it will mark the beginning of the Gautam Gambhir era as it will be his first assignment since his appointment as the coach. Expect big moves being taken by the BCCI as an entirely fresh approach could be followed while selecting the players as senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli may not compete in the format just yet.
