Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganesan were recently blessed with a baby boy. The couple welcomed their first child three years after they got married in a private affair in Goa. Bumrah took to his social media handle to confirm the happy news with his followers. Bumrah and Ganesan have named their child - Angad.

Shaheen Afridi gives a gift to Jasprit Bumrah after the birth of his first child
After the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash between India and Pakistan was rescheduled to the Reserve Day on Sunday, September 10, the talented fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi presented Jasprit Bumrah with a thoughtful gift to celebrate his new role as a father. Bumrah had returned home from Sri Lanka ahead of India's Asia Cup match against Nepal to be with his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, for the birth of their first child.
Bumrah joyfully shared the news of the arrival of their son, Angad, on social media last Monday, saying, "Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it - Jasprit and Sanjana."

Bumrah rejoined the Indian side ahead of their Super Fours clash against arch-rivals Pakistan. The match got interrupted by rain when India was batting in the first innings. India were in a commanding position when rain started pouring in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Match officials eventually decided to call off the play on Sunday and rescheduled it for the next day. India will resume batting from it left on Day 1 - 147/2 in 24.1 overs.
