Failure to report corruption
Shakib has not been banned for match-fixing but for failing to report the approaches that he received for indulging in corrupt practices during Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe tri-series of 2017-18 and the 2018 Indian Premier League. Shakib is now banned from cricket for two years, one year out of which he will serve suspended. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has also tweeted about Shakib's charges.
