StanceBeam, a new sports techlogy company based in Bengaluru, introduced StanceBeam Striker on Wednesday, an intelligent cricket bat sensor that connects it to a shooting analysis application.

Dhawan launches new batting tech

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan launched StanceBeam Striker, which through an Internet of Things (IoT) device provides instant, real-time and usable 360-degree batting performance data analysis for players and coaches through mobile application enabled for iOS and Android.

StanceBeam Striker can be placed on any cricket bat, turning a regular bat into a smart techlogical device. sensor studied  bat speed, 3D swing analysis, power factor and shot efficiency. It also captured Smart Videos in real-time.

Arminder Thind who is founder and CEO of StanceBeam said at launch that ir product equipped both players and ir coaches, with kwledge about techniques so that y can improve ir game. He added that StanceBeam Striker would be a great training tool, as it provided instant comments that gave everyone opportunity to become a better hitter.

product has been conceptualised, designed and manufactured in India and is tested by one of premier Science Institutes, I3D Lab at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. It has shown 98-99% accuracy in sensor's shot analytics.

Dhawan said that it would be a crucial aspect of improving quality of batsmanship on display. He furr added that that timing was very important and having that on data was very useful. He went on to say if he was batting and he got to kw bat speed and speed at which he was hitting  maximum sixes, n that will help him to prepare accordingly.

Dhawan also spoke about backlift as he said it should ideally come from first slip region, so with this, you would be certain that where exactly it was coming from. He added that re would be clarity and need to guess as data was very important and a crucial part of game. He said that it would help him in his batting.
