Shikhar Dhawan made his comeback to the national side in the recently concluded West Indies tour. After having learned that Gabbar has made a complete recovery from a thumb fracture which had ruled him out from the World Cup back in June, the selectors had no hesitation in picking him for the limited-overs series against the West Indies. But, Shikhar Dhawan did not find a place in the Test squad where India had started their ICC World Test Championship campaign successfully by winning both their games and thereby topping the points table. Nonetheless, Shikhar Dhawan's comeback did not turn out to be a fruitful one as Gabbar could manage only 27 runs in the three T20Is with the highest score being 23. Shikhar Dhawan could also not do much in the ODI series as he scored just 36 runs in two matches with the highest score being 36. Now, the Gabbar has posted a motivational message after he was struck by a bouncer.
